LPBT is the story of a pathetic loser stuck in the dead-end job of being the world’s greatest hero. Every day, he slogs through the city interviewing suspected aliens (who may or may not be real) and killing them. It’s a fun book that takes the unreliable narrator into a whole new territory. There are tons of great ideas and cool images. I love the idea of expiring money and the way its ramifications are explored. The best way I can think of to describe Kwon’s style is a blend of Charles Bukowski and Jhonen Vasquez.
